I've head a bit about the Yahoo! Pool Game so I thought it was time that I went and had a look at what people have been talking about.

I know that it comes up often that people are playing the Yahoo! Pool Game but I wasn't sure if this was just because of how big Yahoo! and their games portal is or if it was actually a good game??

The first annoying thing I came across was that you need a Yahoo! account to be able to get into the game. Now I know this is common for many of the cash pool games, but it's not quite as common for a lot of the pool games that you can play for free around the web.

The Yahoo! Pool game loads as a "Java" game which is pretty old technology now, hopefully they'll update it to Flash at some point!

To get into the game a separate window opens that you need to put some text in to show that you're a human. I haven't seen this on a pool game before and am not sure why it would be here. Would anyone really care if a computer logged in 

Ok, so to start a game, I had to create a table and become the host of that table where I can reject or allow anyone to play the pool game or watch it. It appears to just sit there waiting for an opponent so maybe I'm doing something wrong

And what happened when I started to chat to the only person in the pool hall for Yahoo! ? They asked me if I was single ... so it's probably a singles hang-out and has next to nothing to do with playing pool online.

I have to say that I thought the Yahoo! Pool Review would be a little bit more constructive but Yahoo! just don't seem to have updated their pool game in years.

Come on Yahoo!, build us an online pool network that we know you could!
